課程簡介

            化學乃從分子行為與其性質的角度,探討物質的物理與化學變化。修習該門課程的學生,應已具備高中化學與生物的基礎,而普通化學乃高中化學的延伸,許多概念在高中都已經知曉。本課程著重將化學知識統合起來,看生活、生命、環境等等所涵蓋的化學行為,特別針對主修醫學相關的學生,對曾經學過的生命現象與生物知識,提供化學的觀點,並探討分子在其中所扮演的角色。

 

課程目標

(1)           以「普通化學」科目,幫助學生能由高中的思維模式,銜接轉化為大學的讀書態度:

                                     i.                培養自己閱讀、歸納、分析的能力

                                   ii.                建立「化學概念」,不僅「分類學習」,也做「整合式學習」

(2)         引導學生以化學的概念與觀點,了解生活中的科技與自然現象,背後的化學原理

(3)         培養學生以化學學英文,熟悉並接受以英文閱讀課文,得到以英文學習進深化學科目的能力。

課程要求

        本課程的授課方式,除了教師課堂上的講演之外,「自行閱讀」亦是課程的一部份,目的是引導學生更多元化的學習,故此課堂上會指定閱讀的作業,並以多種形式(繳交作業、小組討論、或隨堂小考),驗收學生「自行閱讀」的成果。除了reading,回家作業亦包含課後的習題練習;此外會有不定期、不公佈的簡單小考,隨時確認學生的吸收能力。

 

評量方式:

1.      期中考(30%)、期末考(40%)

2.      隨堂小考與作業(20%)

3.      課堂上討論與參與度(10%
