Research Interests 

1. Structure and reactivity of supported metal catalysts in heterogeneous catalysis, special interests in the gas/solid interfaces.  The solid catalysts include oxide and zeolite supported group VIII metals. 
2. Catalyst preparation includes conventional impregnation, photocatalytic deposition, sol-gel method and zeolite synthesis. 
3. Develop techniques for in-situ studies of catalysts at high temperature and pressure, including volumetric chemisorption; temperature programmed reduction, desorption and reactions; electron microscopy; powder x-ray diffraction; FTIR; UV-Vis; XPS; solid state NMR and EPR.
