Research Interest

  • Chemistry of metals in medicine - Design of various classes of nanomaterials and organometallic compounds, and studying their mechanism of action in biological systems, leading to novel platforms for the next generation of molecular therapeutics.

  • Chemistry of metals in biosensing and bioimaging - Design of novel sensing and imaging probes for Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) sensing and photoaocustic imaging which can potentially be used as diagnostic tools.
